| Japanese online bookstore Honya Club unveiled the results of its "Zenkoku Shotenin ga Eranda Osusume Comic 2017" (Nationwide Bookstore Employees' Recommended Comics of 2017) poll on Wednesday. The poll asked 1,094 bookstore employees for the top 15 manga series that had fewer than five volumes as of November 2016. Viz Media is publishing Platinum End, and shipped the first volume in October. Yen Press is publishing The Case Study of Vanitas, and shipped the first volume in December. Kodansha Comics is publishing both Cells at Work! and Fire Force. The company shipped the second volume of Cells at Work! in December, and the first volume of Fire Force in November. Viz Media's Weekly Shonen Jump digital anthology previewed the first three chapters of Kimetsu no Yaiba in English when it debuted in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2016. Ryōko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon (Dungeon Meshi) manga topped last year's list. Yen Press will publish the manga's first volume this spring. | |

| The only manga,I've been reading is Fairy Tails and even though I usually forget it.
I'm going to try to read more this year,but want to read one that will keep me interested,because I haven't read One Piece,since October,because of it being boring at the moment...
If,you can recommend me some I would really appreciate it. | |

| What i recommend is looking for manga novels!
The problem with a series is that it can drag on,which you then can loose interest. You also have to keep buying them or going back and starting a new volume,which is ok if it captivates you,but i found having a novel which contains the whole story far more interesting,feels almost film like.Where i guess you could say a series feels like a tv show, lots of filler sometimes.
You should check out the Battle Royale side story - battle royale angels border.
Other than that i don't really know of any that you might like. i guess if you type whatever style you like into google with the manga novel tag on it and see what comes up. | |
